  Dear parents, This week we worked on: Journeys: Lesson 17 “The Great Wall of China.” We completed the activities in the book and practiced the vocabulary. Students also took a spelling – vocab – Genre quiz. Grammar: We started Unit 10 “Present Perfect Simple” Math: We did Ch. 6 L2: One Quantity as a Percentage of Another    Science: We completed Unit 20: Energy Conversion. Novels: “Out of my Mind” and “Matilda” Literary Elements: Genre Today we had the chance to review before the quiz differently than usual. 602A students brought their iPads and we used an integrated platform “Quizizz” to enhance the way we review before a test. Students had lots of fun and had the chance to compete live with their classmates.

 Dear parents,  We managed to complete the first semester with great success. Thank you all for your support and I hope you can rest and have fun during the winter vacation.   This week we worked on: Spelling/Vocab Lesson 14 “Raul’s Landscape”. Journeys: Students read the story “Raul’s Landscape” and answered the questions in the book. Grammar: We completed Unit 8 Relative Pronouns (who, which, that, whose). Science: We completed   Unit 19: Gravitational Force. Math: We completed the “Problem Solving part. Novels: “Lost and Found” & “The One and Only Ivan”. Today, 6 th grade students celebrated Christmas by exchanging gifts. We all had lots of fun!!!

Grammar: We started Unit 8 Relative Pronouns (who, which, that, whose). Science: We started  Unit 19: Gravitational  & Frictional Forces. Math: We completed “Ratio & Proportion” Novels: “Lost and Found” & “The One and Only Ivan”. Today, students took a quiz, lesson 13 spelling, vocab, and grammar unit 7.

 This week we worked on: Spelling/Vocab Lesson 12 “High Fliers” and students had the chance to practice the 10 words in the language handbook. Journeys: Students read the story “High Fliers” and answered the questions in the book. Grammar: We completed Unit 7 Prepositions of Time, Place & Movement. Science: We completed  Unit 18: Air & Water Math: Ch 5. L 1: Ratio and Fraction       p109-120 all Novels: “Lost and Found” & “The One and Only Ivan”.  Students took a quiz this Friday, lessons 11 & 12 spelling, vocab, and grammar unit 6
